Program Description
The Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery Education at the Mother Patern College of Health Science is a minimum of 2 ½ – year program with 39 theoretical credit hours in the classroom an additional 10 credit hours are awarded for the teaching practicum completed after all coursework. The students study educational theory and practice, as well as national and international trends in nursing and midwifery education.  Students acquire evidence-based knowledge and develop skills to be able to apply learning theories in classroom and clinical educational settings that is culturally appropriate and responsive to national priorities. The graduates are expected to facilitate learning to enhance the development and socialization of future nurses and midwives. Graduates will be able to apply evidence-based teaching strategies, effectively use assessment and evaluation strategies, actively participate in curriculum design and program evaluation, function effectively as a leader, and engage in scholarly activities.

Aim
The overall aim of the MSNME program is to produce graduates who will be competent, caring and committed educators of high integrity prepared to be leaders who will advance the art and science of nursing and midwifery education and the development of the next generation of nurses and midwives.

•             GPA must be 2.50 or above for MPCHS graduates and 3.00 for others applicants

Financial Information
•             one hundred (100) United State dollars per credit
•             registration fees of $ 85.00 first semester, every other semester $75.00
